carrot | 100g |
dark soy sauce | 2 and 1/2 Tbsp |
vegetable oil | 1 Tbsp |
water | (pour in just enough water to cover) |
● cooking sake | 1 Tbsp |
● sugar | 1 Tbsp |
●salt | 1 teaspoon |
Recipe / How to make | |

Step1 |
Toss the chicken drumstick with soy sauce in a bowl. Cut the renkon and carrot into 5mm wide round slices. |
Step2 |
Put the vegetable oil into the pan on medium heat. Place the chicken and soy sauce on the pan and cook until the skin is browned. |
Step3 |
Add the renkon, carrot and the water into the pan, then bring to boil the water and skim the scum off the top. |
Step4 | Seasoned with ● cooking sake, sugar and salt , simmer on high heat being careful not to scorch it until cooked. |
